I just found OP’s comments about not seeing it so questioning whether it’s true to be dismissive so I shared both my professional and personal experiences - all of which demonstrate that The problem is real. My point is that people don’t advertise being suicidal so we can’t say that because we don’t see it, it isn’t a real issue. I saw first hand how real it is and I think it’s important for all of us to understand how serious it is even if we don’t see the signs. Also I don’t think this is a problem that is unique to girls. IME, which is admittedly anecdotal, the suicide touches all genders. [/quote]
