I know a thruple who have been living together 5 years. I don’t pry and don’t really know how it works, but it sounds like in their situation there’s a main couple who share a bedroom and the third partner has their own bedroom. So two bedrooms in the house. Seems to be working for them.
This is how the throuple I knew lived. Two had been together for over a decade before they invited the third to join in. The third had his own bedroom. Lasted less than a year before the third and one of the original two headed to Florida together. That lasted about a minute and a half. I think the third ended up stealing the second guy's car. The first, leftover guy ended up meeting and marrying someone else. They're doing great.
Makes one wonder if the third who came into an established relationship was an AP of of one of the other two before they tried the throuple arrangement. Also makes one wonder, if that was the case, which of the established couple--the former AP or the other person--is the one the third left with. Messy any way you look at it. A decade as a couple and they end up blowing it up. Better to have just split and each found other partners, maybe, instead of inviting a third into the relationship like they were going to share successfully?
