This guy again, like he’s saying something fresh? Yes, people belong in jail. I would argue that rapists and murderers should never see the light of freedom again, ever. I also don’t think anyone - perhaps you, OP - who doesn’t acknowledge racially disparate sentencing probably isn’t serious about crime. But why rag on the Democrats when the GOP harbors legions of criminals, right in their own party’s leadership? They’re still shielding Trump from real consequences, and I’d argue that treason and sedition are some of the biggest crimes a person can commit.
Some people ALWAYS have to make it about Trump...... Yes, OP. Maher is right. And, it is an achilles heel for the Dems. And, then we have stories like this... This woman was a self proclaimed anarchist - who believes in the abolishment of the law & state and was tragically killed after trying to retrieve her property during a robbery. Jennifer Angel's GoFundMe says it hopes her killers aren't jailed. They want "restorative justice," whatever that is. The message stated, in part, not to “continue the cycle of harm by bringing state-sanctioned violence to those involved in her death or to other members of Oakland’s rich community.” Her store had been damaged previously - a boulder thrown through the front window. I am sorry this woman tragically died. She seems like a nice person. But, we don't treat people who break the law and are violent like this with kid gloves. They do what they do because all too often, there have not been serious consequences for their actions. . [twitter]https://twitter.com/sfchronicle/status/1623887787911946240[/twitter]
Those are her family’s wishes. They said that would be her wishes. The family is entitled to feel however they’d like. If someone killed my family member, I don’t think I’d feel the same way.
