Just like this person said. Since you already have a new tag coming you need to get that tag and go to the SW DMV with both tags. They will switch it out for you with your old tag and reissue your registration sticker on the spot.

I think that the person who answered before was alluding to the fact that if any questions come up at a normal DMV, all of the supervisors everybody is on the phone with actually work there. So they can solve your situation. Other locations they will file a question and send you home telling you that they will call you back. They wont. Just take your new tags and registration, with your old tag to the SW DMV. (Don't forget your title and ID)[/quote]
