[quote=Anonymous]In my IFV journey I have dealt with four clinics now, which yes makes me seem totally neurotic. However, the following list made it really helpful to switch, especially when felt that doctor was not explaining treatment well: Telling them why they have an appointment scheduled with me when I am at the appointment (at least three times, SGF. Like literally have to bring you back with a nurse before they will do any monitoring because they have NO IDEA why you're there - not faking that they know you're there for monitoring but not for which procedure) Being called to come into office for HCG test after ectopic burst and emergency surgery, including being scolded by nurse. This was after doctor called to check in on surgery, so definitely had it recorded. (Dominion) Not having water sonogram room prepped and hearing medical assistants arguing over who didn't leave saline in room instead of promptly returning with saline (SGF) After being blown off by clinic receiving multiple contacts by both email and phone to reschedule an appointment over a year since consult (New Hope Fertility) Evasive answers about how much a canceled cycle would cost over a discussion of three weeks, only to be told they literally cannot disclose this via contract I signed (SGF) Despite telling finance three times (once phone, two times email) that doctor has recommended IVF, continue to be quoted for IUI (Columbia Fertility) Asking what type of trigger shot had been prescribed, to be told to check the labels of the last shot we used???? Self and spouse needed to contact them 7 times to be told name of prescription (SGF) I have never dealt with any medical office with these organizational issues. I really do not understand how these offices expect us to have confidence in them at all. I am very thankful that I am not working right now to 100% oversee our IFV, but do not know how people do it while working. I have heard multiple other patients at these clinics complaining about the same issues. I once saw a transfer at SGF where the patients had a vm from the nurse telling their transfer was at Rockville but it was at Fairfax. Infertility patients have enough stress without having to worry how they are going to convince support staff to do their jobs. Anyone with influence at the clinics reading these boards, please work on educating your staff that actually is not the patients job to do their jobs, and if you are understaffing work on hiring more people.
