It's very sweet and serves a lot of people; I wouldn't serve it for a shower. Cookies and brownies freeze well--I wouldn't freeze anything with frosting though. Ganache freezes pretty well--I make a chocolate layer cake with ganache and have frozen it in individual slices. Then you can microwave and the ganache is like hot fudge, great with ice cream. Or how about donuts? They're cheap so no biggie if you toss some or send home with people--you could order ahead with special colored icing or sprinkles. [/quote]
