The high school coaches who are involved select most of their own kids. There seems to only be a few spots that are truly up for grabs. Nike might be worse though because club teams select the team- Madlax for DC and Crabs for Baltimore. A few years ago Madlax 2024 had 17-18 kids on the Nike team that was selected by their coach.
