The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an overdose victim at Eastern View High School Friday morning. Culpeper Sheriff’s School Resource Officer Chris Williams had requested an ambulance for an unresponsive 17-year-old female student. School staff quickly administered Narcan, followed with CPR. The student was conscious when rescue arrived and transported her to the hospital for further care.
Sheriff Patrol units, Detectives and ACE Team members responded to the school to investigate this incident. K-9 teams from Culpeper Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, and Fauquier Sheriff’s Office responded to assist by conducting a detailed scan of the school.

Detectives discovered that two female students had used fentanyl, in the form of counterfeit Percocet pills. As a result of the investigation thus far, 18-year-old Jerry Montiel-Sanchez of Culpeper, a student of CCHS, was arrested for the distribution of a Schedule I or II Controlled substance. Sanchez is being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail.
In addition to the Sanchez arrest, Detectives have also charged a 16-year-old female student and 17-year-old female student with distribution of a schedule I or II controlled substance. Both juveniles were remanded to the custody of their parents by Juvenile Intake pending their court dates.

This is an active investigation and further adult and juvenile arrests are expected.
