Depends on the brand.[/quote] I think it’s a general rule that the longer cycles are more efficient, but a short cycle is so useful. I use the regular cycle most of the timr but I adored the 28 minute cycle I had in a previous house for party clean up, etc. Or I could run a load while cooking dinner if I knew there wouldn’t be room for everything. The fastest cycle in my current house is an hour and it’s not a huge deal but I will definitely be looking for shorter if/when I have to buy a new dishwasher some day. [/quote]
