Horizon 7.4. I use my Peloton app with it and keeps me engaged.
Does it push any data to the peloton app? I’m looking at the Horizon studio series in lieu of the Tread (both due to price and that I’m not sure I want to invest more in Peloton hardware).
It does not push data to the Peloton app unless you are somehow connecting the peloton app to something that tracks your HR and pace, like an apple watch. Unlike the bike, you won't get the stats like your output, position on the leaderboard, etc., but I decided as long as my watch can pick up my pace and HR, that's all I really need for my purposes. I use the peloton running classes outside too, so this is similar to what I'm already used to. What I love about the Horizon is that similar to the Peloton tread, it transitions seamlessly between incline or speed, which is important for HIIT. It also has a wider and longer running deck than Peloton--I tried Peloton in the store and felt like I was going to run off the back (I personally like a more spacious deck) and I didn't like the crossbar positioned where the screen is, which cuts off a portion of the running deck (Horizon doesn't have that bar). My husband is 6'3" and there's no way he could run comfortably on the Peloton. We went with the 7.4 because it has a slightly stronger motor than the 7.0 and a slightly longer deck for taller people. Really the only major difference is not having the large screen--if you don't feel like you need that, go for the Horizon. For the bike it's essential for me to have that so I stay engaged and feel interactive with the class, but on the tread, phone or ipad works just fine.
