Also, FYI, the pre-employment screen will likely only take a few weeks regardless of your travel history.  Actually getting a clearance can take months or even years depending on your history.  I guess there a some Fed jobs that won't let you start without a clearance in hand, my experience has been that's less common than the private sector though.[/quote]
