I guess I'm not sure the difference between a Valet and a Bellhop. Getting your luggage to your room? A $10 bill if not much luggage, $20 if you have lots. We always get a wheeled cart and do it ourselves. Someone arranges a cab for you, $10, unless it's a big ask, then $20. Housekeeping $20/nt but $100 for a week would be my max, for a week. We don't desire housekeeping during our stay, even if offered, and we leave the place very neat.
By valet I mean the guy who takes and brings your car. Wow, ok I guess I’m out of touch. Hasn’t thought to do $20/day for housekeeping.
I must be out of touch as well. I tipped $5/day at a mid priced hotel. I make my bed every day and hang up towel. So maybe they emptied the trash? Not sure what else they did in the room each day. If the front desk calls me a cab, I don’t tip. If the doorman hails a cab for me from the street, I would tip a few dollars. More if it was raining or snowing and they were able to get the cab quickly.
