Post after post today on my kid’s college parent page complaining their snowflakes had work due over the past holiday week. My own spent hours a day studying for a major test this past Saturday. They were shocked I tell you! I think some of them will be calling their kid’s bosses when they have to take home work!
Don’t laugh. People ask if they their parents can’ come their new hire benefits orientation ALL THE TIME. We have a hard and fast rule of no parents allowed.
Holy crap. That is absolutely nuts!
Yes, because their mom’s got involved with their college homework assignments. In their defense, healthcare has gotten so very complicated with co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and out of pocket maximums, but we tell them that it’s a growth opportunity and that they are welcome to share the presentation with parents if they need assistance making their elections. I don’t want to be heartless with them but if you haven’t already, you do really need to figure out how to do shit on your own after college. These are the same people who ask for a promotion 6 months in to their first job.
