What private high schools would you be interested in? Girls or co-ed is fine, looking to enter in 9th grade. DD is not into team sports but loves to bike, ski, kayak etc as a family, and does very well academically. We are wondering what options would be logistically feasible and if we should just move to MoCo instead.
For Catholic Schools, my DD is a 9th grader was not into team sports previously - but loves the social element and has gone and cheered on her friends at soccer games, volleyball matches and football games so far this fall. Many St. John's kids take metro bus to school (or carpools form) What we have found (so far) is that the kids are happy. We know many stressed out kids at different schools and kids who are dealing with serious mental health issues due to bullying and "mean girl" dynamics. I know it is present -but our observations to date are that it is a more healthy balance. I would take a look - it was out DD's 1st choice and she turned down some more competitive schools.
