My 10th grader took Health A online last summer. My understanding is that Health B will be offered in-person only this summer, but the virtual option won’t be available until summer 2024.
This is what they said at the beginning of last summer, but I sincerely hope they fix this and roll it out virtually this summer. It is so annoying that the class of ´25 is subject to taking a class that was not even ready until their sophomore year.
My prospective IB student had their IB coursework and graduation requirements all planned out, until the state threw this wrench into the works, requiring a new class that wouldn’t be fully ready for an undetermined period of time. Wouldn’t be a huge problem to take both during two different summers, except my kid is planning to apply for CIT/camp counselor jobs, and it’s really difficult when you can’t plan ahead because summer school schedules aren’t released until long after camp job applications are due.
Same for my IB kid. Definitely frustrating.
