Not sure we would have done anything differently, but in retrospect, in part precipitated by our move and in part age/other development - DC1 moved to a new house, transitioned to a big kid bed (because started climbing out of the crib), potty trained (had hoped to do this before DC2 arrived), welcomed a baby sibling, and started a new school (we moved within DC, but our old daycare ended up being too long of a commute so transitioned to a daycare near our new neighborhood) all within 5 months.  It was A LOT of transition to DC1, and it took a year for her to start sleeping well again.  Just something to think about.

On the other hand, we would not have had space in our condo for my parents to stay, but they were able to come for a month after DC2 was born and we had significantly more space and it was really helpful having the extra set of hands.  Probably enough so to make all the rest worth it.[/quote]
