I hate that it's my top concern but the last 2 years have worn me down. I want the carjacking to stop, the guns off the street. I want people to actually serve time for their crimes. Who should I vote for? Does it even matter?
McLaughlin for At Large. Bullet vote just him. Bonds, McDuffie, and Silverman have all failed to provide oversight and tell they Mayor no on things to get her to address crime. MPD is a disaster - they have hurt feelings from the George Floyd protests and hide in their precinct houses. The police alternative programs need oversight, too.
Yup- Bonds, McDuffie and Silverman are current council members so I would not expect anything more than the status quo from them (even though they have pretty different positions on crime, I don't feel like continuing to elect the same people and expecting different results is particularly effective). I voted for Marshall because he seems to have a better finger on the pulse EOTR than all the others.
