We need to switch to a new med now. Our insurance only covers generic. DD needs a stimulant and one that lasts as long as Concerta. Anyone have good luck with a long acting stimulant generic? If so, which one?
Many of the meds that don't have generic have manufacturer coupons that make it almost as cheap as generics. DS takes cotempla, which has no generic, but thanks to a coupon, I pay only $15 a month (would normally pay $50 for name brand, compared to $10 for generic).
We wanted to do this with Concerta but the coupon is only applicable to insurance copays. Since our insurance refuses to cover the drug, even for a higher copay, we aren’t eligible. Do you have to use insurance with the Contempla coupon?
