That actually makes sense -- the egg will not come out. however, if you still have ovaries, you will still have a period (shedding of uterine lining mostly). The answer of where the egg goes is pretty weird -- my OB said that most "tubal ligations" are a removal, and the egg basically just floats off into your abdomen and eventually gets scooped up by your immune system.
