If you have never had to count calories before then it means you probably have a decent diet. It also sounds like you know exactly where those extra calories are coming from vs the folks who come on here saying "I swear I only eat broccoli and have gained 20 lbs." The general rule is to do the bare minimum to lose weight. This is usually most sustainable. I would start by doing as suggested above. If the scale really won't move then start counting.[/quote]
