FWIW I quit DCPS with zero days notice. And did not have a job lined up. I was swooped up, almost instantaneously by a ‘Big 5/3’ private school in the area. It’s a lovely- supportive- and kind place to teach. Just teach. 
And at several points in the interview process what was said to me was ‘if you can teach in DCPS- you can survive anywhere’

Could you share how the pay compares to DCPS? That’s my big worry, that it will be a huge pay cut that I can’t take at the moment. It really sucks being in a job just for a paycheck. [/quote]

Second this question - would love to know about what pay and benefits are like in neighboring counties. I'm a 4th year teacher who is really feeling the burnout and I fear the only way to survive is to ignore all the demands from admin. [/quote]
