I went to UC Davis and took a bunch of animal and environmental science classes, though not enough to major (which I regret). I was in-state though.
+1 Came on here to say, UC Davis! Also, not sure about the OOS admit rates, but Cal Poly San Luis Obsipo (Cal Poly SLO) for sure. Possibly Cal Poly Pomona although I haven't checked that one out, and SLO is a nicer place to be. One of my regrets is not following a path like this (I didn't know anything when I was a teen, though). One of my minor bummers as a mom is none of my kids are interested in this.
Same same same - how I wish I could go back in time and major in animal science. Cansius in Buffalo has an interesting animal program: https://www.canisius.edu/academics/programs/undergraduate/animal-behavior-ecology-conservation If your kid is interested in animal sheltering, Arizona State is doing groundbreaking research: https://psychology.asu.edu/research/labs/canine-science-collaboratory Barnard has the Dog Cognition Lab: https://dogcognition.weebly.com/
