They have tons of data on kids who are disciplined for assault.  But no public records (at least I can’t find them) of kids who are assaulted. How many, how serious, whether they feel restorative justice makes them safer, etc.

I just had this sinking feeling this morning that we really have no idea how many fights are going on.

This is prompted by the horrible fight video from texas.  This type of fighting and video recording  goes on in my kid’s school. Kids post it all the time on social media. I haven’t seen anything anywhere as bad as what happened in texas.  But if we don’t know about it, other than from our kids’ instagram, how do we make sure schools are working to prevent it?   And if huge fights happen and police aren’t called, who’s breaking these things up?
