I don’t necessarily tip a set percentage. The driver is doing the same work for the same cost regardless of whether I’ve ordered a bagel or filet mignon. I mean, I never tip less than $5 and I do tip more when the meal costs more, but part of my calculation when tipping is how much driving was involved. If the food came from 5 miles away, I tip more than if it came from a mile away because that’s a bigger time investment for the driver and more wear and tear on their car. The DD app will give you suggestions for tips, but you can customize the amount. Sometimes the suggestions are unreasonably low and sometimes they’re ridiculously high, but most of the time, they’re pretty reasonable.

It’s not uncommon for restaurants to fail to include part of the order. DoorDash makes it super easy to get a refund. In the app, you can click on orders and then the specific order with an issue. From there, click Help and you’ll have options to select to indicate what was wrong with the order. You can click the item that was missing and they’ll refund that portion of your bill.[/quote]
