State of Maryland requires 4 credits of math to graduate. They added that you must also be enrolled in a math class each year of high school. You can graduate early, as long as you have the 4 credits of HS math. Current standard pathway is Algebra 1 in 8th grade. If a student doesn’t pass that, they would need to take math in summer school to get a 4th credit done by 11th grade.[/quote]
