Agree the jury is still out on some traditional powers that lost a lot from last year.  I expect they will get there by the season as there still is some talent returning, but it will depend on how they replace the losses. I expect hiccups with some of them along the way.

Battlefield is always the exception and hard to read. I think they are a really good team, but they just don't have the competition in Regions A and B to sharpen them when it matters.  Maybe Freedom or JC can challenge them, but I would not be surprised with another VHSL runner-up trophy in their trophy case next Spring.[/quote]

I agree, WIW is zero.  Yorktown only had 11 kids and "borrowed" 2 from PVI so they could field a full team and have one substitute.  And a few of their top players don't play fall ball due to club soccer and club field hockey commitments.   [/quote]
