Then covid hit and tax revenues plummeted. He refused to realign his proposed budget. Council did it for him and voted down the tax increase. This year’s budget was built on unsustainable one-time federal covid relief funding. It won’t exist for next year and he must increase taxes or cut services. There are no other options. [/quote]
