NP. Your reply makes no sense. Schools are not still deciding when the day starts and ends. There is no reason to hold it as a closely held secret. Parents need to be able to plan. Sometimes in life things have no viable defense. This is one of them.[/quote]

Elementary DCPS teacher here.

In 21-22 SY At my school teachers frequently had school wide meetings (administrator decision) and trainings from 8:10-8:40 every week (2-3x a week), so students weren’t allowed in the building until 8:45 because there wouldn’t be enough adults to monitor students in the cafeteria.

19-20 SY doors opened at 8:15 students went to breakfast in the cafeteria and teachers without home rooms (inclusion/resource & special subjects) had breakfast & hallway duty. Once again was also an admin decision me and the rest of my fellow teachers had no control over it.[/quote]
