Are you in an option school? Hub stops are being used because there is a driver shortage (nationwide and ongoing for years)
This. It was also a way to shorten bus rides for kids in option schools, because the bus doesn't stop to pick up as many times, just does 1-3 hub stops to load up and then right to school. We are technically bus riders, but we live about .75 miles from the school. We have to cross a very busy 4 lane road to get there. But our bus stop is a mile in the opposite direction, that crosses a VERY busy parking lot exit/entrance on a very busy 4 lane road. So, we've stopped using the bus entirely and we walk as a group with other neighbors. I would prefer they classify us as walkers and add a crossing guard though, but for now we're just making due. Since I WFH now I actually really like the walk.
