I know the inclination/advice is that you can start seeding after Labor Day, but September just tends to be such a hot/dry month now. I know it's not magic, but it feels like it. Last year after 2-3 weeks, I see the baby grass blades start popping up (and not completely filling out the bare spots) and I think there's no way this is going to work. The process picks back up in Spring and by late Spring/early Summer, it's completely filled out and blended with the rest of the lawn.[/quote]
