Some teachers use an approach that describes how they’re progressing towards an end of school year goal (in other words no student can meet the standard until the end of the school year because they haven’t been assessed on all of the material yet) and others use an approach that describes how they are doing according to where they should be at that point of the school year, so they can meet the standard all year long.
