I respond to messages and telephone calls from patients and residents between appointments.  
12:00- meeting.  Lunch provided.  Most recent meeting was on making some changes to the third year med student curriculum 
1:00 - meet up with med students/residents for table rounds on inpatient consults.  These are people admitted to the general medical hospital.  Our bread and butter is delirium and suicide attempts, but it changes from day to day.  
2:00 - walk around rounds
4:00- have a contentious conversation with trauma surgery about why the psych hospital is full (not every day, but it feels like it).
5:00 - home
9:00 - log in after kids go to bed and edit/sign student and resident notes
