Throw in onions and carrots etc if you want. It can be done in hours. I've researched several times which store bought brands are the best. Again and again people recommend a brand in pouch that I found at Whole Foods. It was disappointing. The only problem with making red meat based broths it is it's messy because of the fat. It is so much easier to make chicken based broths. I also pour it in to mason jars of different sizes and freeze. I also freeze some in ice cube molds and dump them into a ziplock bag for the freezer. [/quote]
