I just learned about college insurance - Gallagher insurance company I was just quoted $157 year. $25 dollar deductible to cover electronics, theft etc. Any experience?
We used NSSI for our kids. Very reasonable, never needed to file a claim but know people who did and it was easy. Personally, our home owners deductible is $1K, as you never really want to file with them unless it's a high cost damages. So NSSI for under $200/year for $6K of coverage is worth it. Never know when there will be a fire, water leaks that damage your kid's stuff and/or computer/phones/etc. I've seen pipes freeze while kids are on winter break and they come back to everything they own damaged.
