Can only assume from your post this your first experience going through this process. Capital and Pride work in a similar fashion when building their HS teams. As others have posted they have an idea of who they will offer heading into tryouts. Generally, they may look to add 3-5 players to their A teams. These spots are left for those players who really stand out at tryouts. Also remember, tryouts are not always about having the best 20 players. There is history, politics, and other factors that influence the makeup of these teams. You will definitely come across some head scratching selections, but parents can and do influence the tryout game. This is not a Pride thing. It happens with Capital as well. Best advice is get involved with these clubs and coaches early to improve your DDs chances of making the best team. Tryouts are more about filling the B teams. [/quote]
