Some options are bring removed from vehicles due to chip shortages. Things like driver assistance packages, automatic tailgate opening, satellite radio, lumbar adjustments, etc.
This is the major drawback in some cases, depending whether the affected features are important to you or not. Wireless charging for cell phones is another feature which is now sometimes unavailable. As chip shortages ease, new features and options are likely to appear, along with the return of those which were formerly standard but are presently unavailable. So, some vehicles sold now may seem a bit bare-bones in comparison.
Our car came with the prep kit for the one missing feature. The sticker price noted that the associated cost had been removed (-$325 for X was a line item). When the chip becomes available, we just have to pay the fee and the dealer willl pop it in.
