From what you’ve described, your kid is 10 and this is his first club experience, so unless he is super fast and better than the average 10 year old, it makes sense that he would be put in the 10 and under group (which is referred to as Bronze 2). Bronze 1 is the fast 10 year olds (generally JO qualifier level, and 11 year olds.[/quote] Sorry, didn’t realize you were talking about your DD, but the same logic applies. If she’s new to club swim, unless she is a standout, it’s completely normal that she would start with their 10 and under group. [/quote]
