Does anyone know when will the parents receive the MISA report card? What is this sore used for and how does this effect the enrichment?
MISA scores come from the state and they have been g*dawful late about that data for the past several years. (Like - late fall or winter, at best.) It's not used for anything from a student perspective from ES and MS tests. The HS will be used for graduation requirement eventually.
If the test is not used for measuring student's performance and progress, then I wonder why do they make them go through these long tests with no preparation?
They have preparation - the science classes they took. MISA is intended as a measure of the success of the curriculum and of the school. The curriculum office reviews overall data for all state tests and make sure the curriculum is appropriate. They will also look at individual schools and provide coaching/feedback about curriculum implementation, if something seems amiss at that school.
