The hotel right in the middle of town, Hotel 24 South (formerly Stonewall Jackson Hotel), allows dogs and is very dog friendly. We went there as a last-minute getaway years ago when we had just gotten a puppy and could not believe how dog-friendly everything was. We now have two dogs and enjoy every trip.
