I've flown out of DCA in each of the last 3 weeks and it's been fine, although I haven't checked luggage and I have TSA Pre. The precheck lines were less than 5 minutes. If you plan to park, reserve parking. I got lucky this week even though I forgot to reserve, not so lucky the week before. Most of the baggage check is now self serve, but depends on the airline.
Agree with the above for domestic flights, but not international. The international lines are taking a long time because each country has different Covid requirements/documents that have to be checked manually by an agent. No self-service for baggage.
Do they do that at DCA or do they check in again in Philly? When I've done international connections via DCA (although pre covid) it was treated as a domestic flight. The only post covid international flight I've done from DCA was to Canada and the screening was all done in advance on ArriveCan and uploaded to my record, so it didn't require checking docs.
