What grade level(s)? I have been checking since you reported this here a while back, but can you be more specific so I don’t freak out every time I have an itch?

The problem is also parents. When my kids caught it, it was from a family who didn’t want to tell anyone they had it because they were embarrassed. The school didn’t even know until I reported it when all my kids got it after a play date at the other family’s home. But it was a couple weeks before the letter went out. I think that’s the County Health Dept’s fault. They aren’t very swift with notifications, even when it’s flu or Norovirus outbreaks. [/quote]

First grade. I understand that there is no need to keep kids home if they have lice. But I would appreciate them letting us know if a child in class had lice. I have been checking my kids hair every week. I found lice yesterday. When I called the school nurse she told me yeah we have been seeing a lot of lice the past two weeks. Ok so why didn’t you tell us?? But you are right another problem is parents who don’t want to tell others that they have lice. [/quote]
