There is an ongoing lice problem in Campbell and the administration doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal. They fail to tell parents to check their child’s hair when a classmate has lice and only mention it to parents when it’s gets to the point where it is out of control. This has been happening since at least February. Any idea how to encourage admin to take this more seriously?
What grade level(s)? I have been checking since you reported this here a while back, but can you be more specific so I don’t freak out every time I have an itch? The problem is also parents. When my kids caught it, it was from a family who didn’t want to tell anyone they had it because they were embarrassed. The school didn’t even know until I reported it when all my kids got it after a play date at the other family’s home. But it was a couple weeks before the letter went out. I think that’s the County Health Dept’s fault. They aren’t very swift with notifications, even when it’s flu or Norovirus outbreaks.
