[/quote] I disagree with the above because it lacks insight into how few spots there are in 9th grade at many of these schools. They might have 150 kids apply(or more), with 65 of those being kids who would be great fits. Some of whom have hooks, let’s say they have 20 spots to fill, leaving the remaining “great fits” out of luck even if they would have done just as well, if not better, than some that got in. These are small schools. This isn’t a middle of the pack college looking for full pay highly able kids to try and win over. Many “best fit schools” have to waitlist kids who would have been fabulous additions to their communities. There are only so many spots to fill. [/quote]
