Yes they are meant to be comfortable. But they are also not really meant for people that are overweight unless they have a lot of added stress. They fit best on lean people that don’t have a lot of extra around the middle. Jeans are made of stuff fabric that zips/buttons. It can’t really accommodate extra lumps and bumps or shapes that diverge significantly from the pattern. If you are having a hard time look for something with more stretch
Go away. OP: jeans are not comfortable, period. I am not overweight. I am athletic and fit and look great, honestly. But most jeans just aren't comfortable. That PP is just a jerk.
NP. You go away. I lived in jeans until I got too fat for them to be comfortable. The previous posters are correct - they're stiff material that has a shape. If you don't fit in the shape, they'll be uncomfortable. If you aren't too out of the shape, you might be able to wear stretch denim. Otherwise, jeans are simply not for you. Jeans are one of the most comfortable pants there are (if you fit in them properly). Period.
+1, jeans should be comfortable and if they're not, they don't fit. If you have a body type that is hard to fit, find a jean with a lot of stretch, size up, and take in where necessary.
