Wow, I never knew that about black licorice! But I'm sure a little won't hurt. I craved sour, very very sour key lime pie. But then I learned traditionally, key lime pie is made with raw eggs, and I think that was maybe not great for pregnancy? I don't remember, it was 10 years ago. But I found ways around it to fulfill the cravings. I made some lime cookies, ate lime sherbet, drank lemonade, etc. Isn't there something you can eat/make with the flavor you crave? Not Ouzo, but something else?
this is too late for you- but I make key lime pie all the time and never with raw eggs- just follow the recipe on the back of the key lime juice - https://keylimejuice.com/nellie-joes-key-lime-pie/ I had no idea about licorice! I vote for moderation-- I ate hot dogs recently- just made sure they were well cooked and used a food thermometer to check but I'm sure the little bit of nitrates wasn't great. I wouldn't do it daily but every now and then is likely okay.
