Have you had any evaluations? If so, how far behind are receptive and expressive. Some schools will not accomodate a child who is over a year behind in language and other skills while others will.

I assume the child's only issues are language (no behavior issues?) Are there attention issues? Are there social pragmatic issues? Some private schools worth checking out are Katherine Thomas,  Maddux and Diener, but I have no idea if these are the schools for your child. I just know they work well with language issues and student teacher ratio is good. All three I think state they have students with expressive and receptive delays.

For some reason I think of Lab as particularly good for dyslexia since we have known 2 families who thought it really helped their dyslexic child. My guess is given their "we don't work with PDD" bend they won't work with language pragmatic issues even if your child does not have a PDD diagnosis, but I have no idea.[/quote]
