Organizing class reunions and events, performing multiple alumni interviews year after year, that sort of thing. Kids whose parents just check the alumni box but don't seem to do anything seem to be rejected. (I have never paid attention to who donates money, so I suppose that could have something to do with it -- but my theory is that it's the level of involvement.)
