Ferrari is “art”? Pfffffft. Ferrari wouldn’t even exist if old uncle Enzo had pockets deep enough to sustain the lifestyle-illusion he wanted people to believe he had back in the ‘50’s. Ferrari is basically the equivalent of a heiress with the trappings of an estate, who works as an escort to earn enough money to keep the lights on. Compared to art like that, I’ll embrace vulgarity!

As for Jeep/Bronco/LC/LR … I’ve never seen people here take their Defenders off-road. I’ve seen a few old LC’s on a trail or off-road park on occasion, but it’s a rare sight. Broncos are too new, so the jury is still out on them. But most of the off-roading or overlanding done on this continent is done by people driving Jeeps. So your “cosplay” label seems to be misapplied. The Defender is cosplay, defined. [/quote]

My opinion of L might be tainted by my gross DB neighbor growing up who had a Countach and then a Diablo.

Frankly, I’m not really a fan of Italian cars in general. Hence, “art” for classic Ferrari. I prefer German engineering. And smooth lines.

99% of wranglers aren’t doing any real off-roading. Despite all of their aftermarket accessories. They just fit with the whole “tactical gear” look. My mid-sized SUV can handle most of the actual real-world scenarios these drivers face.

There aren’t many old-school Defenders on this continent, period. My affinity for them developed overseas. The new ones are a joke - they look like an old boxy RAV.  :lol:
