I've had tons of ankle issues - chronic instability since my teens when I started rolling it. I finally had surgery to stabilize it done by The Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center and have been really happy with it. The surgeons are excellent, the PT department is the BEST I've been to (Matt, in particular, is amazing) and they have an orthotist that does custom orthodics on site who is also excellent. I can tell you that it's no fun having chronic ankle instability. I first broke my ankle in my late teens (backflips on a trampoline and landed wrong). The broken bones aren't the issue but the loose/torn ligaments. I healed up but over the years continued to roll it despite having custom orthodics. I'm in my 50s now and it's really evident that the side opposite the weak ankle has been over compensating for the weakness. I feel it in my hips, especially. Best to address it when younger/first happening. Good luck. https://www.footankledc.com/
