He is vetoing a record number of bills passed by the General Assembly and has unilaterally changed the schedule for the Loudoun SB elections.
Might want to get your facts straight before you continue to spout out nonsense. He didn't unilaterally change the schedule for elections. He sent changes back to legislature to review and vote on. If the changes have enough support (e.g., votes), then it'll happen. But that's how the process works.
Why did he amend a bill at the last minute that was passed with bipartisan support? If he wanted to propose that change, he could have worked with legislators to do it during the session. But he didn’t want to do the work, he just wants publicity.
There is nothing unusual about a governor submitting amendments to bills and they often occur within the last day or hours before the deadline. This process seems similar to that of recent governors. He did veto more than Northam it seems, but that is his right. And as the PP wrote, the legislature comes back next month and votes yay or nay on the vetoes and amendments. And with a split house/senate, all of the bills were passed with bipartisan support. By your logic, he should not have vetoed or amended any bills.
